This
type of filing cabinet -- known as a "lateral file" -- is now
quite common.
But
when it was first introduced, the standard for filing was the
conventional "vertical" file.
The campaign that I created for the Roll-Out Conserv-A-File (great product, not-so-great name) had to explain the concept behind this new type of file for the first time.
